Your Sylvanian Families will feel right at home in Beachwood Hall. This luxurious model house has two floors, with opening doors, a red tiled roof and creme walls. Open up the house to show the beautiful interior and five rooms inside, then set down the floor to give your Sylvanian Families the space they need to entertain guests. There is even a diagonal top landing you can set in place, so that your Sylvanians can easily move between the top floor bedrooms. The flight of stairs can be placed so it leads up to a bedroom, the landing, or the outside balcony. When it's sunny outside, flip the floor piece over to create a grassy lawn for having garden parties on. And when it starts to get dark, the house has two working lights that can be moved between rooms, so that your Sylvanian Families always have enough light. I got this for my 4 year old Daughters Christmas present, and she has already got a budding village growing as the Sylvanian Families toys are a bit addictive to purchase once you start. This house has fitted in well, and is the biggest of the houses in the village so has more than one family living in it, there are only 4 rooms so deciding on the furniture sets to fit in was a bit difficult but we got a great Kitchen (better than my own), a lovely Lounge with Fire place, a nice Bathroom and separate Toilet and a small Bedroom.
My only down side is the lights which are really cool - my daughter keeps turning them on and forgetting to turn them off so the battery's die quickly and have to be replaced, about once a day since Christmas, I wish they were brighter so that I could notice them and turn them off after she has left, but there might be a lesson in there about saving electricity.
This was a great purchase and I have a very happy 4 year old and I expect this present will last for a long time to come - possibly future generations.

Daughter received this for Christmas 2012. Loving the space, suitable for at least 4 rooms and gardenware if wanted. The working lights in two of the rooms was an added bonus.

As expected - lots of small parts for a fairly small house considering the price. Daughter happy enough with it though.

I bought this product for my granddaughter for Christmas. The green square can be flipped over to be used as a wooden floor and can be put in many different spots around the house. The balcony is a nice touch as is the landing (but the landing and stairs seem to fall down a lot) the stairs and can be clipped into different places around the house.
It comes with no furniture (which is fine and expected)The lights do work well and I am most pleased.
My granddaughter assembled this herself and with no trouble. I think it is educational in the sense that you have to assemble it yourself and its a good lesson in patience for her.
Only 2 rooms have lights and that's the only down side, I'd say.
One upstairs room leads out onto the balcony and the other can be divided into 2 rooms or into 1 large room VERY easily. Once divided it has 1 room rather large and can fit a bunk bed and book case: Sylvanian Families Children's Bedroom Set with lots of space left over and the other room can fit the cot from the nursery: Sylvanian Families Nightlight Nursery Set
The two downstairs can be used as a living room and fits the following in easily: Sylvanian Families Country Living Room Set And the other as a kitchen with the following and tons of room leftover from it: Sylvanian Families Dining Room Set
This is a very good buy - spacious, durable and fun. Really pleased.

This is an updated version of the older beechwood, with an added garden and a few little extras added to this newer version. Can't really find the older version anymore, so had to order this for Christmas.

It really is a lovely big house! And makes for hours of fun for children who love Sylvanians! I would recommend this house :)

I bought this Sylvanian House for my 5year old Grand daughter and she has had so much pleasure from it along with anything to do with the Sylvanians which we have bought her ,she will spend hours playing with it all ,along with all the different families We never mind buying Sylvanians as we know she will get hours of pleasure playing with it all .

Sylvanian Families products seem to hold their premium price really well but my daughter loves this stuff and so I just gasp and get on with my purchase...

I paid full price for Beechwood Hall and I see it's now substantially reduced so looks like a very good buy! The build quality is excellent and the additional touches such as the two working lights are a great bonus, according to my 5 year old.

The disappointment for me was a breakage to the stairs - mysteriously the railing snapped off one day (nobody knows how this happened!) and I found it impossible to fix with super glue.

Also you have to be careful about what furniture you buy as some of them fill the room - I would warn you against buying the brass railing double bed!

All in all, apart from the breakage, I would recommend this - it's a very attractive toy and has generated hours of blissful playtime.

I bought this toy for a future present to my daughter. I have taken it out of the box and it comes complete. I love it and iam sure she will love it too. The lights are very nice and all the details are very cozy.
