The Dolls House comes flat packed, relatively easy to put together and no extra tools other than a screw driver are necessary. All the screw fittings bar one are done with an enclosed allen key. It is also BIG.

It took about 30 minutes on Christmas Eve to put together though care should be taken with the screws, two are just slightly larger than the rest and it is not very obvious. The quality of the machined wood is very good, no splintered edges or scratched parts.

My only concern with it is that the front panels of the house do not have any locking mechanism such as a latch or catch. On an uneven floor the two front door panels can swing open, and they do especially when using the vacuum cleaner.

Other than that, a fine product that can be extended with a basement in the future though whether planning permission from Dad is given remains to be seen.

This is certainly not a cheap option but the high quality justifies the extra cost

The quality of materials used is very good. It is simple to put together although a little time consuming by hand due to the length of the screws. However, the extra effort is worthwhile as they do ensure the house is very strong and sturdy.

We also bought several of the room sets and the family. They complement the house very well in terms of quality and cost.

This was a Christmas present in 2011 for my 2 daughters it is fantastic. I didn't want a pink house and this fitted the bill perfectly. They love it and will spend hours playing with it. Over the last year it has been played with regularly and is definitely a favourite toy. It opens up very easily to play with, front opens and the roof lifts up so they can access everything well, stairs are a bit awkward to walk figures up and down but they don't tend to use them and just jump the people between rooms! My daughters were 3 and 4 years old when they had it and it's still in very good condition, sturdy and worth its money.

Really nice dolls house, 3 yr old daughter has played with it everyday since Christmas. Fits together well, but came with no instructions so took husband, 2 sons and son in law to assemble, midnight on Christmas Eve!

Disappointed because some of sides on the house would not fit correctly, this was because some parts were 2 long. The gift was a Christmas gift for our grand daughter, we spent 4 hours putting the house up due to the faulty sides. We would normally sent it back but our grand daughter would have been upset and disappointed.

very easy to put together ( even for a fifty plus woman ) nice and spacious inside and very heavy, so it will stay put!!
this house will last for ever!! the only thing I dont like is the front door which seems to open and is very difficult to shut from the outside.

This is a wonderful dolls house and although my daughter only got it about two weeks ago, she has already had a lot of enjoyment out of it. I would just say I did not pay this much for it. If you go to the sellers actual website then you will save pounds and also be able to buy bundles including furniture for the house. It is a dolls house that will be played with for many years to come and will be able to be adapted into a more adult house in later years. XXX

Having looked at many different dolls houses online I eventually bought this one.
A good choice.
Very well made - unlike some of the other houses this one is made of solid wood so IF it does ever get bumped, scratched etc I'll be able to tidy it up again easily. Beware of some other makes which are not solid wood. Before buying I I looked at some second hand ones on ebay and this one appears to last much better - others were sadly chipped etc. Easy to assemble (which made me happy)...and loved by my 4 year old girl.

This doll's house is lovely. The design is simple and sturdy and beautiful. It is easy to assemble, probably easier with two people, and the instruction were clear. As I had not seen it prior to purchase I was concerned that the finish might be poor with rough edges or splinters, but the finish was perfect. My granddaughter loves it. It does seem large at first, but watching a child play with it I realised that it needs to be that size, even for small hands.
