Bought for my two and a half year old grandson (but I suspect the suggestion was more for his dad to use it) for Christmas, delivery exceeded expectations arriving well in time for Christmas, well done Amazon and their delivery company. Out of the box, built Christmas morning and many races later still going well. The ability to limit the throttle controls and the the track magnets helping to keep the cars on the track enabled my grandson to play with his Christmas present when he was able to get a controller off his dad and granddad.

Bought this for our boys aged 5 and 9. They were really excited to get it but the first one we received didn't work at all so we had to send it back. The second one worked for a while but then the controllers lost their 'spring' in the trigger and the cars became difficult to control. We bought scalextric because of the brand, despite their being cheaper options around, however the overall quality is poor.
