Fantastic lego as usual, keeping the kids quiet for ages. A little tricky with lots of parts if you have younger ones but just a little adult help required :)

I made the fatal mistake of not counting the 1400 pieces before building this. There were about 70-90 pieces missing and many were critical to the build including a couple of the figures. It is going back. I hope the replacement isn't missing parts.
It was very difficult to explain to my 6 year old why he couldn't have his Halo toy that was on his Santa list.
I realise 1400 parts is a lot - but surely Megabloks would have better quality control than this.
We were very very careful on the build but strangely were left with many parts we didn't need and missing a huge number. It was like they just threw in what the thought was needed.

I gave 3 stars because it looked great in the photos and until the 3/4 build point - it seemed solid and was looking good.

I will update when I get the next one. I paid £52 for this - shocked to see Amazon hike up the price so much.

Now I have a new one thanks to Amazons great service. This one is now built and looks great. Still one piece missing but not critical. I can't tell my son that this one will go back.
So my advice is count all the parts. I've upped my rating as its great.

My boys had great fun building this over the Christmas period. Lego on some of their larger kits build the models in stages and the packs are clearly marked. Halo Mega Bloks have yet to learn from this, nevertheless we found that by sorting out the pieces into various sizes into various bowls and trays it made the job of sorting through nearly 1,3000 pieces a lot easier that it would have been. When built, it is surprising how large the Elephant is; this was purchased for my youngest son who has got a lot of play out of it. Amazon have varioius deals and we were able to get it at a cheap price, this enabled us to purchase additional models.

Bought as a xmas present for my Grandson who is building up collection I am sure like his present Halo Buidables, there will be hours of fun assembling and playing. The reduced price was great,delivery early

Great to play with once it's built. Doesn't fall a part like Lego does.
On the minus side is the difficulty to build as pieces are hard to click together. Poor organization of bags. You have to open all bags at once and that means a lot of searching for parts. Suggestion is to lable the bags and use one or two bags at a time while building.

Fantastic value for money, kept my 9 yr old busy for days building it. He was able to build with very little help from an adult. Much bigger and stronger than i was expecting. Very pleased all round.

This toy was very difficult for my son to build and he builds Lego with his eyes shut with just as many pieces or more the Mega Blocs products could be a bit more user friendly design. Apart from that when it was finished it looked the part but some parts of the structure continually fall apart no matter how many times they are re-assembled, they are second best to Lego.

My 10yr old grandson requested this toy for Christmas. His father sensibly assembled it before Christmas day to avoid dissapoiting his son. However, the model started to break apart very quickly when it was played with and it was put away for a total re-build using glue. I undertook the re-build as my son couldn't face doing it again. It took me about 25 hours to complete, and to be honest, the model does look quite impressive once completed. However, I found the 40 page instruction booklet misleading and could not be relied upon for accuracy. I found a magnafying glass very useful.
This model is made from 'MEGA BLOKS' which are basically olive coloured lego bricks for want of a better description, and anybody purchasing one of these toys should be aware of how fiddly they can be to build.
At over £80 I think toy is over priced and is only worth half that amount.
I therefore do not think it is value for money and I certainly would not recommend it.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He is obsessed by Halo and in particular by the Mega Bloks sets. This was on his Christmas list for the longest time and Amazon had it cheapest. We haven't built it yet but if the more recent sets are anything to go by, it should be more durable than the early sets which fell apart the moment you finished building them!
