I was drunk, the control is easy although i crash it lots. The video pretty high quality. One thing NOBODY seemed to make clear is that it itself becomes a wifi network, so you don't control it over a shared network. It itself is the network and your ipad,ipod whatever has to connect to it and then you control it like that. Clever eh?

This didn't work out of the box.

I was presented with a message on screen "Ultrasound Emergency" which appeared to be a common occurrence (thanks Google)

It is a real shame, cos this looked like a cool gadget. If it had failed after a couple of crashes, then I would be accepting of the problem, but to see the error message at first boot up is a shame to say the least.

Great concept but poor execution.

It will be interesting to see how Amazon handle my concern.

Great fun. Took a little while to get the drone to talk to iPad but eventually great fun. Expensive though!

This drone is an awsome piece of kit. fairly easy to master the controls after just a few flights. The cameras give a very good quality picture. you gotta get one.

Firstly I would not rate this Drone as a toy. In the wrong hands and used carelessly could lead to a serious injury.
It can fly high and fast with if you use the outdoor hull unprotected blades spinning very fast. It can drop from a good height very fast if the emergency button is hit, and whilst light could injure someone.
Parrot advise not flying in the proximity of dogs as it emits a frequency that can disturb dogs and may cause them to become aggressive.
Ok serious points over, if you're over 15 and are into video it's a must buy. With it's 720p front facing camera it will add extra dimention to your videos.
Finally as for fun for big boys, there is just that in shed loads.

What fun, expensive toy but amazing bit of tech check out youtube for loads of videos. I use Android not iOS and it isn't as well supported but some great apps online. Very robust bit of kit, be prepared for a few crashes but it is very forgiving... great fun
