Bought this for our 4 year old at christmas. She loves it! Got a disney figures (Cinderella) set and a Cinderella carriage with horses from ELC and she plays with it every day. She loves re-enacting the scenes from Cinderella, but also loves making up little stories. Overall a great buy (got a good discount before christmas!) and so nice to encourage imaginative play. We plan to buy some different disney figures for her birthday..On a practical note, needs very little assembly, folds up and doesn't take up that much room.

Fantastic castle. I love the whole design, very carefully thought out, and so versatile.

My 6 year old wanted a castle for Christmas after regularly playing with one at a friends house. She loves it and it's been used daily since she got it. She got a Plastoy Princess set which she plays with along with it.

I bought this for Christmas for my daughters, aged 2.5 and 4.5, and they seem to like it, but when they came to put the furniture in, there's not really enough space so the castle needs to be opened up and the floor used as the play area where the people do their thing. Its a lovely castle but in hindsight, I wish I'd got a proper victorian wooden dolls house - I think they would get more use out of that. The figures which go with it are cute but not very princessy so we brought the disney dolls set to go with it.

I have just recieved the fabulous folding castle via An Post to Ireland. Delivery was really quick and the packaging was great. The castle is intended as a Christmas gift and my daughter hasnt yet seen it but she will just love love it. From what I can see this toy is well deserving of all the high reviews it recieves. Very pretty and well made it offers endless opportunity for hours of imaginative play which means lots of down time for me:)!

We bought this for our daughter's birthday. 8 months on and the castle is still going well. Gets played with almost every day and there are as yet, no signs of it breaking anywhere. Very robust and nicely made. We bought the matching furniture set from Melissa and Doug which is also good. The castle is hinged and opens out to increase the playable area. Once closed it becomes quite compact for stowing. Our daughter and son love it. Suitable for small figures, but as a guide for how small - our son's Schleich knights are too big. Overall very pleased.

I purchased this Melissa & Doug folding Princess Castle for my daughter's 5th birthday. She absolutely loves it. The quality of the item is first class. It is very solid and comes complete rather than self assembly. I can't think of anything negative to say about this item. I would 100% recommend this castle for any little girl. I did look elsewhere to see what other castles are available but this one is by far the best that I could see.

i loved the idea of this and bought it for my two daughters including some dolls/furniture... but i'm actually disappointed. the rooms are small and difficult to use so they set up play on the floor where it opens up anyway. you need floor space to store it as it takes up a fair bit of room, what looked like a bridge between towers is just a joining piece and the draw bridge broke after just a few gentle uses... i thought they would love it but they don't, and as beautiful as it looks, it is not practical for use and is very expensive once you buy the furniture etc to go with it. with hindsight, i would definitely buy something else. this has been relegated to our top floor and sadly rarely gets played with.
