Pure McLaren
The M4-12C is the first car McLaren has wholly designed and built since the unveiling of their world-famous record-breaking F1 many years previously. As any fan might have guessed the M4-12C met immediate critical acclaim on its release in 2011, and took its first victories in the Circuito de Navarra round of the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship.
To create this tribute set Scalextric teamed up with McLaren racing champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. This set was built to the specifications of the pair, creating one of the most challenging circuits in Scalextric. In just over five metres of track the circuit includes a hairpin turn, a ring and a crossroads section as well as two large curves. A lap counter is also included.

The awe-inspiring new MP4-12C is 100% pure McLaren - lightweight and strong, fast and efficient, comfortable and exhilarating. It marks a new era in British automotive manufacturing. When Scalextric asked for colour preferences Lewis Hamilton chose Volcano Red for his car, wanting it to look dynamic, but also look cool and sleek. Jenson Button opted for a darker car, deciding on Carbon Black.

Out of the box on Xmas morning, slotted together easily and ready to race in less than 15 minutes. Circuit ideal for my 5 yr old grandson (and me)! Has been going strong now for the 12 days of Christmas with only the usual pick up brush wear. Eventually someone will invent a better method of connecting the cars to the track in lieiu of the bits of braided mesh but other than that good value and reliability to date.

This is just perfect for my grandson who is 5 and also there is not enough space to have a large layout. The only drawback with this set is that it cannot be added to.

Bought for my granson for Christmas, but i guess all the grown ups will end up playing with it. Bought through Amazon £12.00 cheaper than other stores, promt delivery. proof will be how it performes over the xmas break

This is fab. Delivered really promptly. My kids are 8 and 4 and they are going to get a lovely surprise when they come home. They are going to have hours of fun, playing with this. Not to mention the fun had, by (me) mum and their dad.

This product is amazing. I haven't bought it, but my cousin has. We have loads of fun.

it's educational in a way, probably because It teaches you how to win slot car races and how to go through turns, but you can only learn 1 way, by trial and error

So now I have come to a conclusion.
it's overall a great toy, what more can I say?

Bought at Xmas for my 4 year old son. Great fun and easy to set up and use. Cars have strong magnets so will take a corner at a good speed but are sturdy enough to survive any off track adventures. Keep the magnets and contacts free of dust and fluff for best performance.

Purchased for my grandson this appears to have the ability to keep him amused for long periods of time. It didn't take him to long to grasp the idea of controlling the speed and is of far better standard the one purchased for the youngest child. So far the cars have held up to an average 4 year old's treatment and I expet he will have lots more fun with this set.

Quick delivery as always. Regarding the product, this worked perfect for the first day and we had lots of fun with it, however after that, the cars kept getting stuck on the track. Would not buy again.

As i say great fun for 2 days until one car gave up the will to carry on shame you would think they would at least last the xmas holiday out before breaking !!!!!!
