This was a present for a ten year old girl. A difficult age to buy for - still a child but wanting to be grown up! I wanted to get her a toy but one that could continue to "grow" with her and this is perfect.. The theatre is not babyish to look at hence does not restrict the imagination to punch and judy or nursery rhyme puppets. It is also well sized, so it can continue to be used for a number of years which improves the value for money: It is much more expensive than other puppet theatres but in my view, worth the extra money. The build quality is good, it is easily assembled and very sturdy once set up. The curtain was pulled off by younger member of the family quite quickly.. this was possible to mend very easily but it would help if say the curtain was threaded onto elastic. In summary, I would recommend this as a unisex toy from the age of 6+ to promote continued creative play, particularly between girls and boys.
