The high quality wood sandpit is a metre square and you can stand it on any hard outside surface. When the kids aren't playing in the sand, the lid keeps rain, leaves and birds out - the base liner means there's no need to worry about moisture from below either. Whilst the idea for this product is sound it seems to have been made poorly.It takes a long time to put together and once complete you will discover that the groundsheet supplied is about an inch too small all the way round so sand will escape.
Also the lid once folded down is about an inch too short as well so there is a gap in the middle where the two parts of the lid meets.
If it rains sand will turn to mud very quickly!!
